Gunnar's first day of school!

We bought him a Spiderman backpack, which he absolutely fell in love with. So much so, that he fell asleep with it in his lap!!

Then, the night before school, he walked around the kitchen with his "bapa" as he calls it. He picked up that word quick.

He walked into school on his own, with his backpack in tow. (Mom had to carry the lunchbox - that was Spiderman too!). He even walked right into his room. But when he saw me leaving, he came running back to me. But the teacher was awesome, took him to the corner, read him a book, I left. About a minute later, I had the director peek in, and he was a happy little camper.

Since he did so well in school, we decided to make it an extra special afternoon and we went to visit Dad at the fire station. Gunnar got to ride the fire truck, got a new helmet, and a badge! Then, of course, he decided he was going to drive off in the minivan. Anything with a steering wheel, he's all over it!!!
