Gunnar is 4!

Today is Gunnar's birthday! It's been an interesting day for me. I've thought a lot about where we were 4 years ago today. How difficult the beginning was, how hard it was to pick up and move to Texas, how unsure we were about every decision we had to make. But this year, this birthday, we had so many reasons to celebrate!!!!

Oh, and cake!!! For the very first time, Gunnar ate his birthday cake!!! Granted, it is not the first time he's eaten cake, but this is the first time he actually ate his own birthday cake!!! At his first birthday, he just looked at it. 2nd birthday he took a lick of frosting. 3rd birthday, he had one bite. But this one, he ate about half the piece (it was a large piece) and ALL of the Oreos off the top.

And on to some presents!!!

"Speakers"!!! Actually, these are Walkie Talkies.

"What's this?". He couldn't quite figure it out, but its a sprinkler.. to play outside in the water. He's gone through way too many kid sprinklers and destroyed them. So we asked Papa and GG to get him a regular sprinkler. We'll see how he likes it tomorrow!

And. A real camera! He loves to take pictures. LOVES it. The spiderman camera from Christmas just didn't cut it. He'd take pictures and then delete them all before we could get them off the camera. And if we did get them downloaded, they were such horrible quality, you couldn't figure out what we were looking at. So we got him a "big boy" camera. He already took about 20 pictures tonight! He loves it!!!
